When a user opens an app instance, it is locked, preventing other users from opening the same instance in normal mode. Instances that are already open and locked can be opened in read-only mode by other users.
The app instance will remain locked while the user is active and the app timeout period has not elapsed.
If a user exits the app abnormally, typically by closing the browser window, the instance will also remain locked until the timeout period has elapsed.
The default timeout period is 30 minutes, but this can be modified in the app design.
To manually unlock an app instance, select it from the Open Instances or Closed Instances section of the Edit Apps Dashboard and press the 'Clear Lock' button.
